Alfred E. Sheerer

Alfred E. Sheerer, Madison Twp., died Wednesday in the Geisinger Community Medical Center after an illness.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Wilmer F and Esther May Meyers Sheerer.   He was educated in North Pocono Schools and worked his entire life in the area for different people.  He was a member of the Cortez United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a sister Margaret Saar of Madison Twp.; brothers George Sheerer of S. Canaan and Paul Knecht of North Carolina; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by brothers Andrew and William Sheerer and Donald Meyers.
