Alverna M. Silfee Rake

Alverna Mae Silfee of Lake Ariel died Sunday evening at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center. Her husband was the late Garnold E. Silfee.

Born in Newfoundland, PA, daughter of the late Lewis E. and Lena Mae Rake, she attended Bethel Bible Church in Martins Creek, and prior to her retirement she had worked as a cook at the Sterling Inn for 30 years.

She enjoyed playing bingo, socializing with friends and attending Bible Study.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters Lila, Margaret, and Florence and brothers George and Richard Rake.

Funeral Services will be Thursday at 11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call 10:00-11:00am.

Interment, Pine Grove Cemetery, S. Sterling.
