Amanda Lee Parry, age 38, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, after a long battle with addiction.
Born April 17, 1984, in Honesdale, she was the daughter of Deborah Lee Siepiela Parry and the late Jerry Craig Parry. Amanda attended Western Wayne School District and was the mother of two beautiful daughters, Deanna Lee Pohle and Meadow Lee Demuth.
Amanda loved cooking, gardening, crafts, sunflowers, peaceful days of listening to her country music, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was deeply loved by her family who will forever feel the loss and emptiness of her absence. She is at peace and no longer struggling or suffering.
She is survived by her sisters, Tracy Rickard and husband, Brian; Jessica Parry and wife, TreeAnne McEnery; nieces and nephews, Mykenna Hickey and fiancé, Mark Dolph; Samuel Hickey; Kaylan Hickey; Levi and Mack Dolph; closest and dearest friend, Hope Tucker.
Friends may call on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm at James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel.
Cremation will follow in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.
Addiction hides in the faces of everyday people all around us. Amanda isn’t just another statistic or just “another one gone too soon; ” she had a loving heart that will live on and thrive through her daughters.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions be made to an addiction and recovery organization of your choosing. The family also asks that you educate yourself and others about addiction. There are so many suffering from this disease and they are so much more than their addiction.
