Obituary

Arlene Santoli, a life-long resident of Scranton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 10, 2026, at the age of 83 after a short illness.

Born on December 30, 1942, to Adam and Pauline (nee Scep) Zera in Scranton, Arlene was a 1960 graduate of West Scranton High School, and worked for a short period of time at J.P. Redington Furniture in Scranton before marrying the love of her life, Anthony Santoli. Arlene lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedicated care for her family and community.

Arlene was a proud homemaker whose life revolved around her family, particularly her two daughters Laurie Santoli and Michele Horvath (Tom); her grandchildren Anthony and Juliana Horvath; a loving sister Mary Ann Keller (Ray); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A devout member of Immaculate Conception Church, Arlene found great solace in her faith and the community she nurtured there. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity.

Funeral services were private and held at Immaculate Conception Church on Wednesday, July 15.

Interment took place at Cathedral Cemetery.
