Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Austin Joseph Galovic, who departed this world on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the tender age of 20.

In his short life, Austin's spirit shone brightly, touching the hearts of those around him with warmth, kindness, and an unforgettable sense of humor. Born April 17, 2006, in Englewood, NJ, to Casandra and Milan Galovic, Austin was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, Class of 2024.

Austin truly lived where he felt most at home-on the lakes. Whether he was ice fishing on quiet winter mornings or jet skiing across Lake Wallenpaupack in the summer sun, the outdoors brought him a sense of peace and happiness that stayed with him throughout his life.

One of Austin's favorite traditions was time spent at the grill with his younger brother, Reid. What started as friendly competition over who could create the best meal became moments filled with laughter, stories, and a bond that only grew stronger over the years.

When Austin wasn't with family, he treasured every moment with his friends. Whether hanging out by the pool, sitting around the fire pit, or being the goofball who could make everyone around him laugh, he had a way of bringing joy wherever he went. Austin had a selfless heart and was always quick to help anyone in need. He never asked for recognition-he simply showed up for people. He had a gift for making others feel welcome and valued and was a friend to anyone he met.

In addition to his parents, Austin leaves behind his younger brother Reid; his sister Cloe Delea; his adoring grandparents: Vera Galovic, Milan and Marie Galovic, and Kathleen Coombs; Uncle Harold and Aunt Stephanie Coombs; his dear cousins Aubrey and Wyatt; and countless other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly-each holding a special place in his heart.

Austin was preceded in death by his uncle Kevin Coombs and his godfather Andy Malochleb. While Austin now joins those who have gone before him, his vibrant spirit, contagious laughter, and the memories he created will continue to echo in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

In his honor, a Funeral Service led by Pastor John LaBelle will be held at the James H. Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Friends may call from 12 Noon until the time of service.

Austin's family invites everyone who knew and loved him to join them in celebrating a life filled with adventure, laughter, kindness, and moments that will forever live on in our hearts.

In life, Austin chose to be an organ donor. His final gifts will allow others to live as vibrantly as he did. In lieu of flowers, donations in Austin's memory may be made to Gift of Life.
