Bernice G. Enslin

Bernice G. Enslin, 77, of Honesdale, died Saturday night at Ellen Memorial Healthcare Center surrounded by her family following an illness.  Her husband of 56 years David A. Enslin, Sr. passed away in 2017.

Born in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late George and Estella Jennings. Bernice loved her family and was the best mom in the world. She also enjoyed baking and gardening.

Surviving are her children Deniece A. Tuttle of Honesdale, Tina M. Warring and her husband Bobby of Pleasant Mount., David A. Enslin, Jr. and his wife Beth of Berwick and Judy L. Clune and her husband Donny of Waymart, and Candace Stone of Binghamton, NY; siblings Ethel Evans of Olyphant, James Jennings of Hawley, and Tim Jennings of Honesdale; daughter in law Alison Enslin of Lake Ariel; loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by sons Richard and Anthony “Tony” Enslin; grandson Timmy Stanton.

We also want to send our appreciation of the great care our mother received by the staff at Ellen Memorial Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
