Bruce A. Richie

Bruce A. Richie, 73 of Greentown, Pa, died Sunday evening at Mid Valley Healthcare Center following an illness. His loving wife of 27 years is the former Elizabeth “Betty” Ortwein.

Born in Hazleton, Pa, he was the son of the late Robert and Alberta Kindred – Richie. Prior to retirement, Bruce was a heavy equipment operator. He loved fishing, especially on the Wallenpaupack River.

Also surviving are his son Bruce J. Richie and his wife Christine of Warminster, Pa; step-daughter Jennifer Cruciani of Lake Ariel; step-son Timothy Thomas and his wife Carolyn of Lake Ariel; sisters Joyce Hergert of Freeland and Sharon Richie of Weatherly; a brother Robert Richie of Weatherly; grandchildren Sarah and James Richie, T.J. Thomas, and J.D. Cruciani; great grandson Noah; a niece and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
