Carol F. Cunningham

Carol F. Cunningham 97 of Lake Ariel, PA passed away June 26, 2025, at Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Scranton. Her husband of 43 years Harry O. Cunningham died in 1999.

Born September 22,1927 the daughter of late Henry and Helen Gilpin Ferris, she lived most of her life in Bidwell Hill.

Born and raised on a farm she loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking. She cultivated a large garden for many years and loved to read and sew.

She was a graduate of Lake Consolidated school and a member of the Bidwell Hill United Methodist Church.

She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt.

After being a caretaker for family members, she worked in the food service industry.

She is survived by her two granddaughters Heather Valenzano and Maria Valenzano Prince, a sister Alice Ehrhardt nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her two sons Michael and Mark Valenzano and a sister Elizabeth Polley.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers and staff at Linwood Nursing and Rehab and Home Health Care Professionals Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to her.

Her last wishes were to be cremated: there will be no memorial services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
