Carol Elizabeth Enslin of Lake Ariel died Thursday in Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Her husband is George Enslin Sr. On Sept. 7, the couple celebrated 53 years of marriage. Her first husband was the late James Robert Oliver Sr.

Born in 1941 in Newton, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Edith Pierce Morgan and was a graduate of Sparta High School. She had been employed as a certified nurse’s aide at the Julia Ribaudo Senior Care Center for 20 years.

She loved spending time with her family, traveling to Florida with her husband every winter, bird watching and fishing.

Also surviving are her children, James Oliver Jr. and wife, Lauren of Belleview, Fla.; Kenneth Oliver and wife, Dawn of Waymart; Debra Schreck and husband, William of Scranton; Donna Wallace and husband, Jamie of Mt. Cobb; and George Jr. and wife, Gwen of Lake Ariel.

Her siblings are Joan Walsh, of Pownal, Vt.; Arthur Morgan and wife, Karen Marie of Newton, N.J.; Donald Morgan and wife, Debbie of Saylorsburg; and Donna Bonesteel and husband, Steve of Newton, N.J. Carol was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel, by the Rev. William Rushik. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.

The family asks that everyone attending please wear a mask.
