Carol Linda LoPiccolo

Carol Linda LoPiccolo, 74, of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania (The Hideout),
passed away peacefully at Morristown Medical Center on June 15, 2026,
following a courageous battle with her health. Born in the Bronx, New
York, on March 13, 1952, Carol was the cherished daughter of Hugh
Paterson and Theresa Salamone. Her life was a beautiful testament to
dedication, love, strength, and selflessness.

A proud graduate of the Police Academy, Carol served with distinction
and honor throughout her remarkable career as a detective with the
Suffolk County Police Department. She approached her work with
integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to protecting
others. Following her well-earned retirement, Carol moved to The
Hideout, where her warm smile, kindness, and generous heart quickly
made her a beloved member of the community.

Carol embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. She loved traveling
and exploring new places, treasured time spent with dear friends, and
found joy in life's simple pleasures. Whether she was challenging
someone to a game of Scrabble, working her way through a crossword
puzzle, or sharing stories and laughter with those she loved, Carol
had a gift for bringing people together and making every moment
meaningful.

Above all else, Carol's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was
her family. She was a fiercely devoted mother, a loving grandmother
affectionately known as "Honey," and the steady foundation upon which
her family could always rely. She leaves behind her four children and
their spouses: Michele and John Vandermark, Nicole and Nick Gigante,
Richard Charles and Jamie LoPiccolo, and Mary-Jane LoPiccolo. She was
the adored grandmother of Honey's Hive: Madison, Amelia, Sophia,
Faith, Leonardo, Nicholas, Dominic, Haley, and Noah, all of whom
brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and light into her life.

She is also survived by her younger sisters, Deborah Maiforth and Rose Dey, and was preceded in death by her younger brother, Hugh J. Paterson, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Christian Wake Service
on Friday, June 26, at 11:30 AM at the James H. Wilson Funeral Home,
143 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania. The Rev. Steven Bosomafi,
pastor of Saint Thomas More Church, will officiate. Visitation will be
held prior to the service from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A repast luncheon
will be held immediately following the service.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Suffolk County, New York, on
Sunday, July 12, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where food will be served.
To protect the family's privacy, please contact them directly for

To honor Carol's lifelong protective spirit and dedication to helping
others, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations
be made to organizations supporting abused children and teenagers.

Though she may no longer walk beside us, Carol's memory will live on
forever in the hearts of those she protected and loved. Her strength
and remarkable spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who knew
her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the friends
she treasured, and the countless lives she touched throughout her
lifetime.
