Carol Schofield, Dunmore, passed away unexpectedly at her home after being stricken ill. She was the widow of James Patrick Schofield Sr. who passed away November 21, 2005.
Carol was born May 12, 1949 in the Tripp Park section of Scranton. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Violet Marie Sangiuliano Emiliani. She was a graduate of West Scranton high school. After graduating from high school, she worked as a clerk in the county court system, as well as Pennsylvania Illuminating company. Carol finished her career with retirement from the University of Scranton. She was a woman of the Catholic faith.
Carol was a simple woman who enjoyed nothing more than being with her family. She was happiest when cooking and sharing her favorite dishes as well as watching her favorite baseball team in the summer. Carol had a special place for everyone of her pets and always included them as part of the family.
Surviving are her son, James Patrick Schofield Jr. of Dunmore. Her brother-in-law, Luke Schofield, and wife Denise, Niece Nicole Schofield (Rocco), all of Dunmore.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday February 4 at 10am in the Immaculate Conception Church 801 Taylor Ave. by Rev. Jeffrey Tudgay
Friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:15am until the time of Mass in the church
Interment will take place in Cathedral Cemetery
