Charles William Burke, known to all as Bill, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 55 at Gesinger, CMC in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Born and raised in South Carolina, Bill's life took a joyful turn when he met his beloved wife, Valerie, on Hilton Head Island. They shared 30 beautiful years of marriage together, building a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Bill had an accomplished career in medical sales, where his natural ability to connect with people and genuine interest in their lives served him well, professionally and personally. He never met a stranger; his warmth, friendliness, and sincere curiosity about others made every conversation memorable. Friends and family will remember how he often reached out just to catch up, always eager to share a drink and a story.

A lover of the beach, Bill also nurtured a passion for historic homes and their restoration, and he and Valerie enjoyed traveling together, always seeking beauty in the places they visited and the history they encountered. He especially loved their Chihuahua, Peppermint, who brought endless joy and comfort to their home.

Bill is survived by his wife, Valerie Burke; his mother, Sandra Flemming; his sister, Brandee Raines; and his nephew, Johnny Raines. His kindness, charm, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave, Scranton, PA 18510, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor his memory from 10:00 AM until the start of Mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to a charity of choice in Bill's name, reflecting his generous and caring spirit.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
