Charles P. Murdoch, Sr.

Charles P. Murdoch, Jr., 89, of Moscow, died Wednesday afternoon at Allied Services Hospice Center following an illness. His wife of 62 years was the former Lorraine Haldane who proceeded him in death in 2013.

Born in Lansdale, Pa, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Milne Murdoch. Prior to retirement he was an Engineer at Bell Telephone. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He was a loving and kind father to his family. He was proud of his Scottish heritage. He also was talented in woodworking and artwork.

Surviving are his daughter Linda Neville and her husband Thomas of Moscow and his son Eric Murdoch and his wife Maureen of Long Island, NY; grandchildren Bethany and Casey Neville and Paul, Kathryn, and Meghan Murdoch; and his great grandson Granger Neville.

He was preceded in death by sisters Jean Ziegler and Margaret Bross; and brother Alexander Murdoch.

Cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

Private inurnment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
