Charles A. Price, age 86, passed away July 24, 2026 at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville, New York.

He was born May 28, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York, a son of the late Charles and Dorothy Price.

Charles served his country in the United States Army for 2 years having been stationed at Fort Kobbe in the Panama Canal Zone. Upon completion of his enlistment, he returned to Brooklyn, and shortly thereafter, he met his wife of 54 years, Anna Marie Price (nee Tuohy) with whom he had one child, Eric.

Charles was a well-known and popular character in the neighborhood of Bay Ridge in Brooklyn. It was there that he worked as a building superintendent. This career suited him perfectly as he was skilled in and dedicated to the operation of multi-dwelling buildings. He was especially proud of the high standard to which his building was kept, and the caliber of his work was unmatched by his peers. His devotion was further expressed by his custom of decorating the public areas to celebrate holidays and momentous events at his own expense.

His field also provided ample opportunity to pursue his passion, carpentry. His skill level ranged from full apartment renovations to woodworking projects. Many hours did he spend in his workshop honing his craft.

Outside of work, Charles was known for his patriotism. He was loved by all, children and animals included. An avid animal lover, he could be seen walking the family dog (or dogs) regularly. He spent many of his weekends in the family's vacation home in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania before retiring there in 2008.

One of Charles' happiest moments was when he reconnected with his brother, Stanley, who had been adopted out due to the Price family falling on hard times after World War 2. After 35 years they were reunited. This occasion was documented in the local newspaper which he proudly displayed from that day until his last.

Charles was a loyal friend. He was funny, good-natured, and generous when able.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie; two sisters, Audrey (Benjamin) Librera and Marjorie; and two brothers, Hubert and Stanley (Bonnie) Green.

He is survived by one son, Eric (Lisa) Price; grandson, Ronan; and granddaughter, Darla; along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 - 5pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 3th at 10am in St. Mary's Church, St Mary's Church Road, Ledgedale, PA. All attending the Mass are invited to go directly to the church Monday morning. Cremation will take place immediately following the Mass in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home.

Interment of cremated remains will take place Tuesday, August 4th at 11am in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ledgedale, PA.
