Christine V Ganser passed away at the age of 74 after a long illness, and in the presence of her spouse.
She is survived by her husband Richard Ganser, and were married 52 years. Also surviving are her brother Ronald Jarusik and wife Jane Jarusik, niece Valerie Jarusik Munley, and nephew Ron Jarusik. In addition, there are many cousins and other relatives from both sides of her parents' families.
Born in Carbondale, PA, Chris was the daughter of Carl Jarusik and Veronica Prybicien Jarusik of Lake Ariel, and graduated from the Lake Consolidated High School in 1969. She then attended the Pennsylvania State University and graduated in 1773 with a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education.
Chris chose teaching Art to children as a profession, working in three different school districts, although much of her time was spent teaching in the Western Wayne School District. She received awards and many accolades from her students, parents, and members of the community.
Christine loved to cook, grow vegetables and fruit in her garden, traveled extensively to many countries around the world, loved doing all kinds of art and crafts, and was willing to meet and talk with people almost anywhere and at anytime.
There will be no funeral services, and a private interment will be scheduled at a later date through the James Wilson Funeral Home in Lake Ariel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the MPN Research Foundation, Cancer Wellness Center of Forty Fort, PA, and Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
A special thanks to many friends and relatives (some lifelong) who gave their time, support, and encouragement to Chris during her various life and medical challenges.
