Christine M. Scalzi Orlando

Christine “Tina” Scalzi, 64, of Lake Ariel and formerly of Milford, CT, died Friday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Her husband of 45 years is Anthony Scalzi

Born June 4, 1952 in Mt. Carmel, Pa, daughter of the late Leo and Lillian Shuda Orlando, she attended Johnathan Law High School and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School class of 1970. Prior to retirement she had worked for Ashcroft Industries, formerly Dresser Industries for 25 years.

She enjoyed Reading, taking rides, fishing, boating, and her two Maltese dogs, Bella & Luigi. Christine, Tina to her side of the family, and affectionately known as “Poochie” to her husband, was a devoted and supportive friend and wife to her husband, a loving and caring mother and grandmother with a wonderful sense of humor, a heart of gold, full of compassion and a person who was liked by all that met her.

Surviving a daughter Jennifer Woznick and her husband Stanley of Milford, CT; a son David Scalzi of Smithfield, NC; grandchildren David Scalzi, JR., Kenny & Brianna Woznick all of Milford, CT.; sisters Deborah Orlando of Naugatuck, CT and Judy Russell and her husband Ray of Port St. Lucie, FL; Nieces & Nephews Suzanne Gill Vitaletti, Rose Scalzi, Robert Gill, James & William Scalzi, Steven & Gregory Brown, and Jennifer & Mandy Russell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church 305 St. Mary’s Church Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Friday morning from 9:00-10:00am. at the church.

Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and under the direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
