Clementine C. “Clemy” Pontosky, 94, of Hollisterville, died Wednesday morning at Mountain View Care Center following an Illness. Her husband of 43 years was Chester Pontosky who died in 1986.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Bartholomew and Ona Skarnulis Romanauskas. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and was a member of St. Thomas More/ St. Mary’s Parish Community.

She was a brownie leader, girl scout leader and cookie mom, 4-H leader, member Hamlin PTA and past president, member of Ladies Auxiliary with Hamlin Fire Company, member of St Thomas More Altar & Rosary Society and past president, also Eucharistic Minister at St Thomas More, member of Hamlin Senior Citizen Center, Volunteer for Friend of the Poor.

A loving wife and mother, she was devoted to her family.  She was an excellent home maker who loved to cook and bake. She looked forward to  being with her many friends at the Hamlin Senior Center.  She was a kind, loving and generous person who would help anyone in need.  Her genuine kindness and smile will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

We would like to thank the staff at Mt. View Care Center, especially the Camelot and Alcore Units for their loving care and kindness.

Surviving are daughters Patricia Kulick and her husband Paul of Peckville, Dianne Krajewski and her husband Tom of Lake Ariel, and Ann Marie Karabin and her husband Edward, Jr. of Hollisterville; sons Rich Pontosky and his companion Nina Foster of Hollisterville, Donald Pontosky and his wife Linda of Lake Ariel, Chester Pontosky, Jr. and his wife Diane of Sterling, and James Pontosky and his wife Natalie of Lake Ariel; grandchildren Richie, Jr., Michael, Amanda, Alex, Justin, Corey, Shane, Kevin, and Courtney; great-grandchildren Vivian, Vaeda, Emma, Liza, Matthew, Emerson, and Barrett; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Mary Elaine Pontosky; granddaughter Tara Pontosky; brothers Peter, Joseph, Valentine, and John; sisters Mary, Tillie, Sally, and Cecelia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00am in St. Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, Pa

Friends may call Friday from 4:00 – 7:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, Pa
