Delores “Dolly” M. Christ, of Moscow, died Wednesday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, following an illness. Her husband of 46 years is Samuel Christ.
Born in Scranton, Pa, daughter of the late Gerald and Mildred Freeman Miller, she was a member of Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church, Greentown.
Dolly enjoyed reading, baking, and crocheting. Along with her husband, she fostered many children over the years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Surviving are daughters, Milly Grason and her husband Donny of Browndale, Missy Christ of Hamlin, Holly Christ of Tannersville, and Sunny Christ of Hamlin; a brother, James Miller of Florida; grandchildren, Christopher Nicks-VanLouvender, Timothy Grason, Matthew Summo, and Suzanne Grason; a great grandson, Xavier Mojica; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Scott VanLouvender, a brother Edward Miller, and a sister Geraldine Hafler.
Cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00pm at the Hemlock Grove United Methodist Church, 491 Roemerville Rd, Greentown, PA, with services by Rev. Brian Wallace, Pastor.
