Dennis A. Shaffer, Sr.

Dennis A. Shaffer, Sr., Jefferson Twp.,  died Wednesday morning peacefully at home with his children at his side.

Born 1955 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Earl, Jr. and Elma June Hollister Shaffer.  He attended school in Jefferson Twp and was a graduate of North Pocono High School.  He was a member of the Assembly of God.   He was a member of the Army National Guard.

Surviving are daughters Joanne Ackerman and husband Matt and Julie Black and husband Jonathan;  sons Dennis Shaffer and wife Laura, Jayson Shaffer and wife Becky and Derrick Shaffer and wife Kimberly;  sisters Donna Cronkite, Dorothy Sohns and Doris Mellan;  brothers David, Donald and Dale Shaffer; thirteen grandchildren;  nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4pm in the Hen Nest 241 Lake Spangenberg Rd. Jefferson Twp., PA 18411.

Friends may call Sunday from 2pm until time of service.
