Devin M. Proppe (39), Carbondale, passed away Thursday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family. His wife of 12 years is the former Felicia Peck. He lived with his Aunt Jill Pidgeon and Uncle Aaron Swendsen who have cared for him the last 4 months up to his passing.
Devin was born November 26, 1986 in Scranton and is the son of Alberta Kizer Eck and Robert Proppe and his wife Patricia. Devin was educated at Western Wayne Schools. Prior to his illness he had been employed as a Tri-Axle Operator/Driver for the AJ Konopka Excavating Company.
In his spare time he enjoyed mowing grass, riding quads, camping, fishing, listening to music and hanging out with his friends. He also enjoyed attending his children's sports games and his beautiful goddaughter Kendall's softball games. He loved attending dance recitals for his daughter Liana. Grandma Marilyn Pidgeon would have special bonding time with Devin at the kitchen table for morning talks.
Surviving are his handsome son Bentley Proppe 14 years old, and beautiful daughter Liana Proppe 9 years old and goddaughter Kendall Pidgeon 16 years old.; his stepfather Brian Eck; his siblings Justin Kizer and his wife Kimberly, Travis Kizer and his fiance Clarissa Peck, Kyle Proppe, Chelsea Proppe and her boyfriend Justin Davis and sister, Madison Eck; his maternal grandmother Esther Kizer; sister in law Krishna Peck and her husband Mike Struble; niece Samyia and nephews Oliver and Linkin, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His father in law David Peck and wife Victoria Peck were always a part of his life.
Devin had many special moments with his two cousins at home Ciara Pidgeon and her boyfriend Kaemon Compton, and Yunique Hambke. They all loved him so much. Devin is leaving behind his two support animals his cat Gizzy and his dog Milo who loved him to the end of time.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Joseph W. Kizer; mother in law Suzette Peck; caretaker George ; his 4 month old niece Lilly Proppe, also his cousin Crystal Langille.
We would like to send a special thank you to the Sacred Heart Hospice Nurses for there time and dedication during Devin's final weeks.
A celebration of Devin's life will take place Sunday from 3-5pm at the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, PA. 18436. Followed by a memorial dinner at R' Place for immediate family and friends.
Private Cremation will take place in the Lake Region Crematory of the James Wilson Funeral Home following services.
