Diane Reilly passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Reilly.

Diane was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1954 and was the daughter of the late Rudolph Burger and Lorraine Whalen. She was a 1971 graduate of Christian Academy, where her enrollment in a cooperative program prepared her for a decades-long career as an executive assistant within the banking and cosmetic industries, until her move to Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania.

Diane will be remembered for her lighthearted nature and sense of humor, as the life of the party, her cooking and ability to make a jingle for just about anything, such as the family favorite, “Everybody likes tuna fish.” She loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was an animal lover and provided a home for many dogs, cats, and birds.

She leaves behind siblings Kenneth Burger and Laura Cassamassino (Anthony), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 21 st at 9:30am in St. Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Road, Lake Ariel, Pa by Rev. Stephen Bosomafi, Pastor.

Private Inurnment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated in her memory to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 Williams Street, Dunmore PA.
