It is with love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Donald T. Glossenger, who passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 91.
Born on August 11, 1934, in Lakeville, PA, Donald was the son of Kenneth and Ella Lennon Glossenger. He was a 1952 graduate of Lake Consolidated High School and proudly served in the United States Army.
A skilled stone mason, Donald worked for Gumble Bros. for 35 years before continuing his trade independently for another 10 years. His craftsmanship can be found in countless homes and businesses throughout the Lake Wallenpaupack area and surrounding communities, earning him the affectionate nickname “Stoney."
Donald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He married Janet Jones on October 24, 1959, and together they shared 67 years of love, faith, and family.
An avid hunter and outdoorsman, he found great joy in nature and in spending time with those he loved. He was a faithful member of St. Thomas More/St. Mary's Parish in Lake Ariel.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Singer and Marie Finan, and his brother, George "Glenn" Glossenger.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Janet Glossenger; his daughter, Debra Devine and husband Joseph Devine; grandchildren Jessica Gregorski and husband Paul Gregorski, Sarah McCracken and husband Tom McCracken, and Adam Devine; and six great-grandchildren, Donovan, Troy, and Calista Gregorski, and Grady, Gavin, and Molly McCracken. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth Glossenger Jr., and sisters, Marilyn Wormuth and Sandra Aleckna; godchildren; nieces and nephews; cousins.
Donald will be remembered for his kind smile, strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family. His life was a testament to dedication, humility, and service, and his memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to caregivers and staff of the Traditional Hospice, as well as family friends for their compassionate care and support.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 9:30 AM in the St. Thomas More Church by Rev Stephen Bosomafi, pastor.
