Donald L. Chapman

Donald L. Chapman, 79, of Lake Ariel, passed away Thursday evening at home. His wife of 49 years is the former Lucille M. Shaffer.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Mabel Owens - Chapman. He was a graduate of Lake Consolidated School Class of 1965. Since 1967, he was the owner of Chapman Barbershop in Lake Ariel. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hollisterville. He was a member of the Lake Ariel Lions Club,

An avid fisherman and hunter, Donny enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. He could also be found cruising around on his Harley Davidson or Miata Convertible.

Also surviving are his brother Norman Chapman and his wife Rose, sister in laws Carol Chapman and Lois Mousley, both of Lake Ariel and Louise Whitacre of Alabama; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by brothers Henry and Charles Chapman.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 25th at 11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel. with Pastor James Sheridan officiating.

Friends may call from 9:00am until the time of service.

Interment, Salem Cemetery, Hamlin.
