Donna May McAndrew, of Lake Ariel, passed away on Friday evening at Geisinger CMC in Scranton after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of James McAndrew for 49 years.
Born in Bethlehem, Donna was a graduate of Liberty High School and attended St. Luke’s Nursing School. Prior to retirement, she was a successful manager and sales representative for various staffing agencies and worked in the personnel department at Phoebe Home in Allentown, PA. She was an active member of the Salem Community Church, Hamlin.
Donna was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was also an artist and found joy in sewing, quilting, knitting, and painting. She could frequently be found working on projects dedicated to the people she loved.
Besides her husband, James, she is survived by daughter Dawn (Mike) O’Toole of St. Louis, MO, sons Damon (Jessica) McAndrew of Easton, PA and Daryl (Staci) McAndrew of Boyertown, PA; grandchildren Sean O’Toole, Danielle Ready, Mya, Austin, Avery, Kylie, and Connor McAndrew; great-grandchildren Adalyn and Connor O’Toole.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 4 at 12:00pm in the Salem Community Church, 613 Hamlin Hwy, Hamlin with services by Rev. Jeffrey Rarich, Pastor.
Friends may call from 10:00am until time of Service at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to and under the direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
