Donna Lee Michael Weber

January 30, 2025 Donna Lee Michael, 74, Bloomsburg, formerly of Scranton, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon in the Geisinger Medical Center after an illness.Born February 5, 1950, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Jeanne Sickler Michael. She attended the former Scranton Technical High School. Donna was of the Catholic faith.Donna Lee was a daughter, sister, beloved mother, wife, grandmother and fierce warrior. She single-handedly raised seven boys in what could be described as nothing short of a viking camp. She was courageous and fearless in battle and knew nothing of the word defeat. She was an incredible woman and inspiration; she was very much loved and will be very sadly missed.Surviving are sons Joseph, Kevin and Greg Evanski and William Michael; grandchildren Emily and Juliet Michael, Savannah Evanski, Chloe Evanski and Alexandra Michael.She was also preceded in death by husband Joseph Evanski, sons Gerald and Glenn Evanski and Scott Michael.A Blessing Service will be held Thursday, February 6th at 7:30pm in the Vanston & James Funeral Home 1401 Ash St. Scranton.Friends may call Thursday from 6pm until time of service in the funeral.Interment, private and at the convenience of the family in Cathedral Cemetery.In lieu of flowers the family encourages memorial contributions be made in Donna’s honor to an animal shelter of your choice.Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the Vanston and James Funeral Home, Scranton.
