Dorothy E. Baldwin Hazen

Dorothy E. Baldwin, 90, of S. Canaan, died at home surrounded by her family. Her husband was the late John Baldwin who died in 1999.

Betty was born in Nay Aug, Pa, the last of 9 children born to Beulah and Raymond Hazen. Betty and her husband John worked the family dairy farm while raising their five children: sons William L. and wife Pat and John J. and wife Linda all of S. Canaan; daughters Carolyn Gillow and husband Donald of Colorado, Diane DeBellis and husband Mark of Massachusetts and Betty Jane Buli of Allentown, PA. She has two living sisters-in-law Laura May Drake and Dorothy Hazen. Betty was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was Past-Matron of Laurel Chapter # 67 OES, and a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Waymart.

As per her request private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
