Dorothy Walton Compton

Dorothy Walton, 96, a lifelong resident of Wimmers, died Saturday at Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center following an illness. She was the widow Ephraim Walton in died in 1998. At the time of his passing the couple had been married in 1960.

Born in Wimmers she was the daughter of the late Warren and Viola Compton Cavill, she was a graduate of Jefferson High School Class of 1937. Prior to retirement she was a seamstress.

Surviving are sons Ronald and his wife Doris of Hollisterville, Robert of Wimmers, and Dale of Florida; grandsons Mark, Troy, Ronald, Dale, and Robbie; 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Dorothy Walton; sisters Margaret Mitchell, Mabel Metcalf, Helen Smith, and Carrie Howard; brothers James and Raymond Cavill.

The family would like to thank Lisa and the entire staff of Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center for the exceptional care given to our mother.

Cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory

Private interment, Hornbaker Cemetery, Madisonville.
