Elizabeth Braxton

Elizabeth (Liz) Braxton 70 of Wallenpaupack Lake Estates passed away at home following a short illness on Tuesday 1/23/24. At the time of death Liz was surrounded by her beloved husband Jack, daughters, grandchildren and friends.

Born in Newark NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Estelle Kloss. She graduated from Parsippany High School, Parsippany, NJ.

Prior to retirement, she was an employee for the State of New Jersey at Complete Care at Barn Hill and Homestead Manor.

Liz lived life to the fullest. Liz was always willing to help anyone in need, her love for her family especially her grandchildren was unmeasurable. Liz loved going to the beach. Her favorite spot was Seaside Heights NJ. Liz’s passion of dancing won her and her husband many awards over the years, especially in “the Hustle Era”.  Liz became “Nan” to many kids around the neighborhood and didn’t hesitate to extend that grandparent right and love to each and every one of them.

Liz is survived by her husband of 51 years, William “Jack” Braxton, daughters Nicole Braxton (Scranton PA), Teresa Santini (Dingmans Ferry), Jackalynn Braxton (Reading PA), Patrice Braxton (Lake Ariel PA), and her best friend of 48 years Kathleen Crawn (Millsboro DE). She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren Billy, Christazia, Dametreous, Abree, Jorge, Jalin, Avien, Mason, Tristian, Gio, Avani and her favorite Baekson. As well as 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Karen and brother-in-law Jeff Roselle along with her other brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends.

She is proceeded in death by her daughter Christine Braxton and 2 brothers Joesph Jr and George Kloss

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 3rd at 11:00am in St Thomas More Church, 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel PA by Rev. Stephen Bosomafi, Pastor.

Friends may call from 10:00am – 11:00am in the church.

Spring Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
