Ernest J Miller, South Canaan, went home to his Lord and Savior on September 18th, 2026, at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart inpatient unit Dunmore surrounded by his family. His wife was the former Lois Geien. And at the time of her passing they had enjoyed 54 years of marriage.

Ernest was born January 3rd, 1937, in his family home in South Canaan. He was the son of the late Jesse and Mary Emory Miller and was a lifelong and devoted member of the Canaan Bible Chapel. He served honorably in the Pennsylvania National Guard. He had been employed by the South Canaan Telephone Company as a lineman for many years.

Surviving are his daughters Karen Khattari, Lynda Howell and her husband Randy; son Kurt Miller; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Donald, Lois, Lenore, and Randy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 26th in the Canaan Bible Chapel 30 Hemlock Road Lake Ariel, PA officiated by Pastor Daniel Henwood.

Friends may call Saturday morning at Canaan Bible Chapel from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Interment will follow in the East Canaan Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home lake Ariel.
