Fay L. Holgate Newenhouse

Fay L. Holgate, Beach Lake, died Sunday in the Wayne Woodlands Manor after an illness.   She was the widow of Wyland Holgate who died in 2015.

Born 1931 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late William and Yolande Blackmoor Newenhouse.   She was educated in Honesdale schools and had worked as a sales clerk in various stores throughout the area among them being Kretchmer’s Gift Shop in Honesdale.

Surviving are a daughter Julie Gwozdziewycz and husband Ed of Honesdale and a son Randy Holgate and wife Lori of Montana;  brothers William Newenhouse of Hawley and Thomas Newenhouse of AZ;  grandchildren Christopher Brown, Sarah Holgate, Tanja Holgate and Nicolas and Andrew Gwozdziewycz;  great grandchildren Ada, Alice and Dominic Gwozdziewycz, Austin Brown and Lincoln Holgate; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother Harry Nieuwenhuyse.

Funeral services and interment will private for the family on Thursday.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
