Faye Sheridan, 83, of the Bunker Hill Section of Dunmore left this world on July 4, 2026 following a brief illness.
Born in 1942 to George and Bernice Osterhout in Oneonta, NY, she was educated in Binghamton area public schools, and later worked in customer service, most recently at Gerrity's Markets. She was a member of Ss. Francis and Clare Progressive Catholic Church.
Faye was a woman whose life was a testament to her unwavering faith and love for her family. She filled the hearts of those around her with warmth and kindness.
Faye is survived by her daughter Debbie Naro and her husband Louis, and her son Rick Hartford. Five grandchildren, Samantha Palumbo and her husband Wil, Laura Webb and her husband Andy, Brittany Lepkowski , Rebecca Abdul Salem and husband Asmar and Jessica Cole and wife Olivia.
She is also survived by her eight great grand children. Louis Naro, Asher Abott-Mccloughan, Anthony Palumbo, Nyah Abdul Salem, Leah Webb, Samarah Abdul Salem, William Palumbo and Charlotte Palumbo. Also her two brothers George (Butch) Osterhouut and wife Cathy and James Osterhout and wife Mary Alice.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William H. Sheridan who passed away in 2020 and her daughter, Bernadette Lepkowski who passed away in 2024.
A private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory of the Vanston and James Funeral Home at their Lake Ariel location.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. William A. Mentz on Sunday, July 19 at 4PM at the Vanston and James Funeral Home, 1401 Ash Street in Scranton. Friends may call from 3PM until the start of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Faye's memory may be made to Ss Francis and Clare Progressive Catholic Church.
