Frances V. Gardas Borowski

Frances V. Gardas, 98, of Waymart, died Sunday afternoon at the Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center in Lake Ariel. She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Gardas, who died in 1997.

Born in Whites Crossing, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Victoria Czhowski Borowski. She was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to raising her family. During WWII she was employed as a supervisor in a factory to help aid the war.

Surviving are two sons Mark Gardas, Wanaque NJ; and Stanley Gardas, S. Canaan; a brother Stanley Borowski, Wilmington DE; three grandsons Gregory, Bryan, and Christopher Gardas; two grand daughters Rosemarie and Nikki Gardas; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Gary Gardas, six sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral service and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
