Freida J. Cox Swingle

Freida “Ma” Swingle Cox, Jefferson Twp, died Saturday at home.  She was the widow of Ernest Cox.

Born October 2, 1934 in S. Canaan, she was the daughter of Steward and Charlotte Robinson Swingle.   Freida an avid coupon clipper, gardener and flea marketer.  But more than anything she loved everyone. She truly was “Ma” and “Grandma” to all.

Surviving are sons Gary and Paul Cox both of Jefferson Twp;  daughters Tina Cox of Lake Ariel and Terry Case Garofolo of Jefferson Twp  ;  a sister Irene Barker of Florida;  brothers Paul Swingle of NY and Donald Swingle of Archbald;  eleven grandchildren;  fourteen great grandchildren;  nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sisters Leah Pennell ; Florence Jones  and Olive Klim ; brothers Alfred ; Steward Jr ; Frank and Wallace.

Funeral services will begin at Noon on Friday in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with a graveside service immediately following in the South Canaan Bible Protestant Cemetery, South Canaan.

Friends may call Thursday from 4-7pm .

Funeral services will begin at Noon on Friday in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with a graveside service immediately following in the South Canaan Bible Protestant Cemetery, South Canaan.
