Gerald E. Simancek, Jr.

Gerald E. Simancek, Jr. of Gouldsboro died Saturday morning at Regional Hospital Scranton following a brief illness.

Born in East Stroudsburg, son of Gerald E. Simancek of Gouldsboro and the late Patricia Ann Arnold Simancek, he was a graduate of North Pocono High School.

Jerry was a sweet, funny,  wonderful man, a true gentleman with a kind heart.  He loved fishing, music, going to auctions and flea markets.

He is preceeded in death by his mother, uncle and grandfather.

He is survived by his father Gerald Sr., sisters Kimbey Tinklepaugh, and Robin Simancek; his nephews Matthew, Jake and niece Jessica, his great niece Sienna and great nephew Craig  Jr.  Aunt Kay and Scott Clark. His fiancé Joanne Abbatiello, her children Steven Abbatiello and Katherine Abbatiello-Cupp, her husband James and 4 grand children, Gianna, Lawrence,  Rylee and Eddie, and many cousins and 1st cousins.

Until we meet again, you will be loved and missed by all your family, friends and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.

Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
