Gertrude T. Casalone

Gertude T. Casalone, Lake Ariel, passed away Wednesday afternoon in the Julia Ribaudo Extended Care Center after an illness. She was the widow of Joseph J. Casalone who passed away in 2004.

Gertrude was born February 11, 1929 in Waterbury, Ct and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Antoinette Morelli Oliva. She was a graduate of the Washington Irving High School. She was a member of the St Thomas More St Mary's Roman Catholic Parish Community. 

She was a devoted mother who was intensely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a kind and deeply religious person who took the time to let people know how she felt about them by her acts of kindness. This was evident in her handmade greeting cards she lovingly made for her entire family. She was very creative, a talented artist and seamstress. She will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her daughters Maryann Lannan and Carol Stirling; seven grandchildren: Kevin, Scott, Tracy, Lauren, Nicole, Brian, and Jeffrey;five great grandchildren: Brandon, Tyler, Henry, Owen, Isla, Hayden and Rio. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 7th at 10am in the St Thomas More Church 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev. Stephen Bosomafi, pastor.

Friends may call morning from 9:00am until the time of Mass in the narthex of the church.
