Glenna Curtis

Glenna Curtis, 98, of Hollisterville, Pennsylvania, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.

She was born January 14, 1926 in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Spencer and Grace Mignery Swingle. Glenna was an extraordinary mother, daughter, Nana, sister and aunt to her family.

She was the best nurse, especially her years working in the ICU at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, Pennsylvania. But it was her family who kept her heart happy and healthy. She was an avid fan of the Little League World Series, and she could be heard all over the house coaching and scolding them.  We thought it was hysterical!  We will always remember her humor and her fortitude but most especially, her godly advice and example.  She served the Lord faithfully.

Surviving is her daughter Sharon Locklin of Hollisterville; grandchildren Shari Palmer, Jay Locklin and his wife Katrina, Kari Janiszewski and her husband Kenny, Jason Locklin, and Glenna Barletta and her husband Victor; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great – great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister Marion Swingle; brother Robert Swingle; and great-grandson Spencer Locklin.

Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory in the James Wilson Funeral Home.
