Gloria Coohill Fitzpatrick

Gloria Coohill of S. Canaan died Wednesday at home following an illness. Her husband was the late Francis Coohill who died in 2001.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Richard and Eugenia Hoering Fitzpatrick, she was a member of St. Thomas More Church.

She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and scrapbooking as well as writing in her journals.

Surviving are children Dennis Coohill and his wife Natalie of NY, Kathleen Riera and her husband Peter of Hawley, Maureen Giandinoto and her husband Frank of California, John and Theresa Moriarty-Coohill and of Middletown, NY, Deirdre Smith and her husband Mike of Ledgedale, and Jennifer Harrison and her husband Harry of Lake Ariel with whom she resided; a sister Mary Giambrone; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sons Francis, III, Gerard, Charles, and Kevin; brothers Richard and George Fitzpatrick; sisters Anntoinette Kelleher and Eugenia Fitzpatrick.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00am in St. Thomas More Church 105 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev. Stephen Stavoy, pastor.

Friends may call Monday from 9:00-10:00am at the Church.

Interment, Pine Grove Cemetery, S. Sterling.
