Gloria McDonough

Gloria McDonough, Scranton, died late Sunday evening in the Marywood Heights after an illness.

Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Anna Walsh McDonough and Joseph McDonough. She was a graduate of West Scranton High School and prior to her retirement from the Scranton School District for 36 years and she served as secretary to the guidance counselor at Scranton Technical High School. She was a lifelong member of the Holy Cross Parish in the Bellevue section of Scranton and after it's closing, she became a member of St Pauls Parish in Green Ridge.

Among Gloria's many interest were traveling at home and abroad, theater, music, concerts, golfing, reading, and dance recitals

Gloria is survived by her nieces and nephews Paul Geda, Laurie Geda Klonoski, Gloria Geda Colosimo, Gerry Geda, Susan Duffy Bartolacci, Peggy Duffy Zwiebel; numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna, Dorothy, Marilyn "Mame", and Margaret "Peggy," as well as her niece Dawn Duffy Kavulich,

As per Gloria's wishes, her funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family
