Gouverneur Hoeppner

Go u vern eu r Ho eppner, 62 , of Swoyersv ille , passed away March 26, 2021, at Wilkes -B a r re General Hospital due to natural causes .

​ Go u v was born in San Francisco , C alifornia . He was the son of George J . and LaVer ne H oeppner, both deceased. He attended Coughlin H igh S chool , Wilkes-Barre, and Wilkes -Barre A rea V o- T ech for electronics. He earned an A ssociate D egree of S ocial S cience in 1979. Go u v served four years in the United S tates Air Force specializing in integrated avionics systems.

​ The defining point in Go uv ‘s life started in March of 1985 , when he joined WV I A TV. For over 30 years he was an integral member of the technical an d engineering team at “ 44 ”. He was truly part of the WVIA family. Never married , he is survived by his sister – in – law Linda “Auntie” ; brothers Kevin and wife Jeannie ; Randy; and nieces Am y , T racy , and Erica. He was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Jerry .
