Harry E Gerstenmaier, Sr.

Harry E. Gerstenmaier, Sr. of the Hideout, Lake Ariel, died Sunday at Temple Health Jeanes Hospital, Philadelphia following an illness. His wife of 58 years is the former Betty Peterkin.

Born in North Arlington, NJ, son of the late James and Louise Fischer Gerstenmaier, he was self-employed as a builder. He was a member of St. Thomas More/St. Mary’s Parish community where he was a Eucharistic Minister, served on the Parish Council and Building Committee.

He loved his family and touched everyone’s heart that he met.

Also surviving are sons Harry Jr. and William and his wife Karen all of Lake Ariel; daughters Carol Gerstenmair of Carbondale and Cindy Fotusky and her husband Bernie of Lake Ariel; grandchildren Megan, Crystal and Sarah Gerstenmair, Jesse and Stephanie Fotusky, Danielle Foster, and Monica LoMonaco; great-grandchildren Jocelyn Foster and Kayden Fotusky.

He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Aundrea LoMonaco, 4 brothers and 8 sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00am in St. Thomas More
Chruch 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel by Rev. Stephen J. Stavoy, Pastor

Friends may call Thursday from 9:30-11:00am at the Church.

Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
