Helen Amorine

Helen Amorine, South Canaan, died Wednesday afternoon at home after an illness. She was the widow of Anthony “Ted” Amorine who died in 1996.

Born 1920 in South Canaan, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Minnie Shaffer Lamberton. She was a faithful member of the Canaan Bible Chapel. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by Waymart Knitwear, Katz  Manufacturing as well as Sherman Mills.

Surviving are daughters Sandra Hineline of Sterling, Christine Robinson and her husband Tim of South Canaan, Rose Bronson and her husband James and Karen Spewak all of Waymart; sons Ronald and his wife Maryanne and John and his wife Nancy all of South Canaan, Roger and his wife April of Lake Ariel, A. Ted and his companion Patricia Sheard of Prompton and Joseph and his wife Bonnie of Sterling; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and extended family to include step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by grandsons Jason Bronson and Brian Robinson; brothers Robert, Donald, Daniel, Frank and Jerry Lamberton; sisters Betty Frey, Doris Bloomgarden and Florence Keill.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10am in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel with services by Rev. Daniel Henwood, pastor of the Canaan Bible Chapel.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-5pm.

Entombment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
