Henrietta M. Lutz, 79, of Hawley, passed away Monday evening at Allied Services Hospice Center following a brief illness. Her husband of 39 years, Paul Lutz passed away in 2020.

Born in Wayne, NJ, she was the daughter of the late James and Hermina “Minnie” Abbink – Van Wyckhouse. She was a graduate of Midland Park High School.  Prior to retirement she was a self – employed housekeeper and also worked at Dutch’s Market in Greentown.

A self taught seamstress, she enjoyed crafting and sewing.  She was an avid dog lover and bred poodles for over 30 years with her late husband.

Surviving are her daughter Danielle Locklin and her husband Steve of Hamlin; sisters Margaret Fylstra of Midland Park, NJ, Jentien Nywening of Bloomingburg, NY, Carol Fylstra of Lakeville, and Beth Mark of Newton, NJ; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers James and Glenn Van Wyckhouse.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Geisinger CMC hospital and Allied Services Hospice Center for their compassionate care and support for Henrietta and her family.

Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
