Iva D. O'Donnell Brooks

Iva D. O’Donnell of Cresco, died Monday peacefully in her sleep at home.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Ralph G. and Beatrice Morgan Brooks, she worked as an Aide for the Arc in Baltimore and later in Scranton after she had returned to live in the Pocono area. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was an avid reader and a fan of the Baltimore Orioles. She loved seafood and Maryland crabcakes.

Surviving are sons Henry and his wife Lisa of Pocono Lake and Thomas of Colorado; grandchildren Jessica and Elizabeth O’Donnell, and Jacob O’Donnell; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Ralph; brothers James and Charles Brooks; a sister Caraline Propst.

There will be a gathering Saturday from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Interment will immediately follow the gathering in S. Canaan Bible Protestant Cemetery, S. Canaan.

Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
