James P. Dugan

James P. Dugan, 87 of Lake Ariel, passed away Monday morning at Regional Hospital of Scranton following an illness.

Born in Bristol, Pa, he was the son of the late James V. and Vera H. Dugan (nee White). He was a graduate of Bristol High School. Before retirement, he was a proud Teamster. He also served his country proudly in the United States Navy.

James was an avid sports fan, and loved the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Penn State Football, and Villanova Basketball! He was a great father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family, trips to Utah, dining out, and boating with his sons and grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons James L. Dugan and his wife Joanne of Tooele, Utah, and Leonard T. Dugan and his wife Nicolle of Lake Ariel, Pa.; grandchildren James V. Dugan, Ryan L. Dugan, Hailey L. Nelson, Todd Dugan, Lauren Graham, Matthew Hill, Jaclyn Dugan, and Rebecca Granata; great-grandchildren Olivia Nelson, Ellie Dugan, Reagan Graham, Rylee Graham, Grady Graham, Owen Granata, and Cody Dugan.

Private cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA.

Military Honors will take place on Tuesday, September 27 th at 9:00am in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, Pa 18940

Arrangements have been entrusted to and are under the care and direction of James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306
