James Kobesky

James “Jim” Kobesky, 90, Crystal River, Florida, passed away Tuesday in Florida.

Born 1933 in Lake Ariel, PA he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary Case Kobesky.   He was a graduate of the former Lake Consolidated School, and he was of the Methodist faith.  He served our country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  Jim started his working life as a milkman for the Mid Valley Dairy then went on to retire as the head custodian at Hamlin Elementary School of the Western Wayne School District.  He also served Wayne County as a Pennsylvania State Constable for many years.  He was an honorary life member of the Lake Ariel Volunteer Fire Company and the American Legion Post.

Jim loved and enjoyed Florida sunsets, scenic drives, collecting model trains, and spending time with loved ones.  He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Surviving are his loving daughter Stephanie Alto of Marietta, GA; his sister Ida Jarusik of Lake Ariel; nieces and nephews. Also his beloved companion’s (Patricia Gluck) children: Pamela Gluck of Milford, PA, Debra Griffin, her son Tristan Geery, and husband Timothy Griffin of Tampa, FL.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Stanley C. Kobesky; his wife Carolyn Fiedler Kobesky and his companion and soul mate, Patricia Gluck.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 11 th at 2pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Friends may call Monday from 1pm until the time of service in the funeral home.

Interment in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
