Jane F. Hancock

Jane F. Hancock, 82, of Sterling, passed away on Friday, September 19th at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, following an illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Hancock, who passed away in 1984.

Born in Moscow, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gayle Stevens - Rigby. She was a graduate of Southern Wayne High School Class of 1960. Jane graduated from Lackawanna Junior College with an associates degree. She was a bookkeeper for Cadosia Valley Lumber and Litening Auto in Newfoundland. Prior to retirement, Jane served as Community Manager of Indian Rocks POA in Ledgedale.

Jane was an accomplished seamstress, enjoyed crafting, arranging flowers and watching her NY Nets Basketball.

Surviving are her sons Richard L Bancroft, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of S. Sterling and Michael Bancroft and his wife Jeannie of Honesdale and her daughter Carrie Williams and her husband John of Sterling; a brother Arthur Rigby, Jr. and his wife Crystal of Apopka, FL; grandchildren Ashton Bancroft, Adam Bancroft and his wife Michelle, Hope Bancroft, Luke Bancroft, Megan Sites and her husband Trey, and Julia Sennefelder; great grandchildren Evelyn Mae Bancroft and Sophia Kennedy Sites; and extended family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 26th at 11:00am in Fairview Memorial Park, 111 State Route 435, Elmhurst, Pa 18444.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jane may be made to Alzheimer's Association Alzheimer's Association ' Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia Help or the charity of the donor's choice.
