Jared L. Fahrenbach, Lake Ariel, died late Tuesday in the Allied Services Hospice Center after an illness.  His wife was the former Ida Hafler who died in 2004.

Born 1940 in Lake Ariel, he was the son of the late William R., Sr and Annette Dennis Fahrenbach he was a graduate of the Lake Consolidated School as well as the Stanton Business College in Honesdale.  He was a former and dedicated member of the Lake Ariel United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee.  Prior to his retirement he had been emplopyed by PP&L for over 35 years and the James Wilson Funeral Home.  Jerry served as a Lake Twp. Auditor, was a member of the Honesdale Rotary and the Wayne-Pike Builders Association.

Jerry loved his church, golfing, fishing and hunting but most of all his family.  He will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Surviving are daughters Kelly Dennis and husband Mark of Washington Borough, PA; Stacey Batzel and husband Warren of Lake Ariel; Krista Nice and husband David of Swoyersville;  his twin sister Judy Williams of Lake Ariel;  beloved grandchildren Christopher Dennis and wife Stefanie, Nicholas Dennis and wife Jade, Sean and Ryan Batzel, Evan and Kaylee Nice; several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death his sister Betty Cobb and his brother William R. (Bob) Fahrenbach, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Noon in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel, with Rev. William Rushik, officiating.

Friends may call Saturday from 11am until the time of service.

Interment, East Canaan Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation -for Parkinson’s Research PO Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
