Jeanne McNamara, The Hideout, Lake Ariel, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday February 17, 2025 after being stricken ill. Her husband of 35 years is John McNamara.

Jeanne was born June 15, 1953 in New York, New York. She was educated in New York Schools and went on to work in various jobs in New York after her graduation from high school.

Jeanne was proud of her Irish heritage. She loved dogs and was a friend to all animals. Jeanne was a friendly and strong woman who loved her friends and family deeply.

Also surviving are her children Meghan McNamara and Sean McNamara and her brother Jimmy Grimm.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Billy, Ginny and Marilyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions be made in Jeanne’s memory to Dessin Animal Shelter.
