Jennifer Giannuzzi

April 24, 1973 - April 9, 2025

Jennifer Giannuzzi of Dallas, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, under the compassionate care and kindness of Sacred Heart Hospice. During her final days, she was surrounded by the comfort and loving presence of her many friends and the tender embrace of her family.

Born 51 years ago in Washington, DC, Jennifer grew up in Alexandria, VA, the daughter of Maryellen Donnelly Giannuzzi and the late Vito A. Giannuzzi, MD. She pursued her education at Radford College and George Mason University before relocating to Pennsylvania. Together with her late husband Richard Presto, Jennifer owned the restaurant 'Bistro on the Ave' in Kingston, PA for many years. It was there that her warmth and charm were as cherished as the delicious meals they served. Jennifer made many memories with her friends and family, and found peace and joy in her stays in Stone Harbor, NJ and the Outer Banks, NC. She adored her beautiful nieces and each Facetime call brought a smile to her face while listening to their daily updates.

Jennifer is survived by; her mother Maryellen Giannuzzi, her brother John Michael Giannuzzi (Molly), her nieces Caroline and Elizabeth, her devoted cousin Angela DeVito, her step-children Richard, Daniel, and Sara Presto, her step-mother Betsy Giannuzzi, step-sisters Lynley Walsh (Nick), Lauren Walsh (Brian) and Kristen Intellini Piper (Brian) and numerous relatives in New York, Pennsylvania and around the country. She also leaves behind a loyal group of friends whose lives were enriched by her love and laughter.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Martin Hyzinski and his dedicated and caring oncology team.

A celebration of Jennifer's beautiful life will be held later this year. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to consider a donation to Sacred Heart Hospice at 100 William St, Dunmore, PA 18510. A mass will be held to honor her life at Immaculate Church of the Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, PA, on Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at 1pm. Friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service.
