Joan M. O'Hora, R.N. Christopher

Joan M. O’Hora, R.N. of Mt. Cobb died Sunday at home. Her husband was the late Martin J. O’Hora who died in 2002.

Born in Ledgedale, daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Gerrity Christopher, she was a Registered Nurse who worked at Mercy Hospital, Scranton prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Thomas More/St. Mary’s Parish Community. She loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, canoeing, and gardening.

Surviving are a son Marty O’Hora of Lake Ariel; daughters Patti O’Hora of Lake Ariel, Joanie Vonderhey and her husband Bob of Maplewood, Michele Walutes and her husband Donald of Hawley, and Reeney Holevinski and her husband Paul of Mt. Cobb; sisters Ann Eisenhauer of Lake Ariel and Marie Malsom of Sterling; brothers Edward Christopher of New York, Joseph Christopher of Lake Ariel, and William Christopher of Ledgedale; grandchildren Bobby, Laura, Marty, Jonathan, Matthew, Michael, Dylan, Leanna, and Alexei; great-grandchildren Emily and Ella; many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church 305 St. Mary’s Church Rd. Lake Ariel.

Anyone attending the Mass is asked to go directly to the church Thursday morning.

Friends may call Wednesday from 3:30-7:00pm in the James Wilson Funeral Home 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.

Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ledgedale.
